Vintage ceremony ~ Kinsley & Chad
June 8, 2013

Orlando, FL   From my initial conversation with Kinsley and Chad, the theme was clear: a wine country feeling, with elegant details and a fantastic night of dancing and celebrating against the Big Board. From the minute Kinsley saw the chalkboards she had to have them; she wanted her guests to be surprised. Chad, her groom, was in charge of delivering the four wine barrels that would set the tone for the ceremony and later flank the Big Board on the dance floor. From there we built all the details that reflected the upcoming honeymoon to Napa. Initially, the plan was to marry under the Sprawling Oak at the edge of the golf course, however Mother Nature was not kind, sending a storm full of rain. What resulted was a romantic ceremony under the great beams of the historic ballroom against the seeded glass doors. The wine barrels were draped with flowers and marked the entrance and the altar. The father of the groom officiated the ceremony. Kinsley beamed as she floated down the aisle on the arm of her mother under the twinkling lights. The bridesmaids were ethereal in pale pastel that were all similar, yet different. The rain turned to mist after the heartfelt vows and Bumby captured a few outside shots of the newly wed Mr. and Mrs. Morrow. Remaining with tradition, they did not do the first look and waited to take portraits during the cocktail hour. The cocktail hour was in the Florida room, under the glow of the iron lanterns. Vintage furniture at the fireplace added to the ambiance. The couple picked favorite wines as table markers instead of a table number. Guest’s names were on the wine labels, which directed them to their table via the type of wine. The ballroom was now transformed from the ceremony site to the dinner site and the Big Board was set as the backdrop to the dance floor. The couple made a grand entrance into the dinner hour and enjoyed dinner and heartfelt toasts from family and friends. The cake was cut as it was highlighted by its own chalkboard and surrounded with the flowers of the bridesmaids. The music and dancing proceeded and lots of fun pictures were taken at the Big Board. The sentiment paddles were chosen by the bride and groom to highlight the date, and some of their fun catchphrases.
