Floral Delight ~ Kara & Jonathan
May 18, 2013

Howey–in-the-Hills, FL It was May 18, 2013, on a beautiful Saturday evening at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida. Amy Rogrigues, with Salon 510, arrived at 8am, to prep my bridesmaids and me. We sat around throughout the morning and afternoon drinking champagne, eating a wonderful lunch prepared by the Mission inn Resort, and getting ready for the big night. The men had a golf tee time at 8am on the wedding day. The men played golf and relaxed by the pool until it was ready for the wedding. Before the ceremony, Mike Briggs Photography and Riant Films came to capture the process of us getting ready in our suite. Leading up to the ceremony, everything was just perfect. Our guests were greeted with a pink signature drink, called a Poinsettia, which consisted of vodka, cranberry juice, and triple sec. Our guests were given sunglasses, which stood next to a sign that read “Don’t let our love blind you.” The ceremony was just perfect. Beautiful Music was there with a string trio playing songs as our guests entered, such as “I’m Yours” by Jason Marz, as well as favorites by Coldplay, Yellowcard, The Verve, and Plain White Tee’s. My father and I walked down the aisle to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” As our ceremony ended, we walked up the aisle to “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay, performed by the string trio. As everyone left the ceremony, they were escorted to a Spanish terrace outside for cocktail hour, with drinks and light snacks. The reception was next, which was so much fun. We danced the night away with Kristen from OURDJROCKS and The Leonard Brothers. Our bridal party was introduced to our guests to “It’s a Beautiful Day” by U2. Our guests were on the dance floor all night long, thanks to Kristen and The Leonard Brothers. For our dinner, we served our guests a dual entrée, consisting on Filet Mignon and Chicken Gitano. Our cake was amazing and delicious, by Party Flavors. At our reception, we had a popcorn bar, consisting of blue, pink, and caramel popcorn with silver glitter. The flavors we had were blueberry, watermelon, old-fashioned sugar corn, butter and salt, and caramel. Kernel Encore provided the popcorn. We had a chocolate fountain, with fruit and dessert items. It was just fantastic! Our night ended with an awesome sparkler exit, which was the perfect end to a perfect day!
